kobe is a fighter and he should be playing as long as he can stand on his feet imho.
Yes, they should do fine without Bryant. Nash will actually play point guard, which evidently he's pretty decent at. And he can run the offense and feed the ball to other players, which is a concept Bryant hasn't quite mastered yet. If the Atlanta game is any indication, there will be 33 more shots to go around for Lakers not named Bryant.

Or stand on the feet of someone else as was the case in Atlanta.
He's directed at Jabbar's record & then beyond that to seal James & Durant. Actually torn twixt hunting outright & pursuing his 6th. If he can do both that would suit him. He, unlike the lion's share understands his place in the world. He does not want to be sitting on that "Tnt" dais until they'd have to carry him onto it. Nor, does he want to be sitting home 24/7 with those in' kids & the old lady makin' sure he doesn't back slide.
[[[This is as good as it's gonna get and it won't ever get this good again.]]] Bryant understands fully that concept, just as sure as the turnin' of the earth.
The Lakers could sign Bell, who already played for D'Antoni. I hated how the refs were fixing all Utah, Rockets and GS games, while helping the Lakers, but still hope Kobe's injury isn't serious. The Lakers should still do well with Dwight, Metta and Nash, plus some other pieces. Not sure if Gasol is near return too.
dunky, gettin' his chicken on.
9 months later & you ain't changed an ioter.
Told u dummies
the thing about it is not that kobe is so great at playing through pain. it's that the media always exaggerates the extent of his injuries
Of course they are. They're trying to make a dollar & a dime peddling their "newspapers." There is no decency in Media. Hasn't been in Media since JFK was elected & then massacred. Hasn't been in sports Media since the money went haywire ('83) and the teams started to purchase the Media outlets. There is too much money at risk to have anything else but managed and centralized dissemination.
But, this is it. There is nothing else. It's all we got and it's better than nothing.
