Pretty much this.
Here's a thought..maybe the warriors will give the spurs rj back?...for free...
Pretty much this.
I doubt anybody's gonna take Jack off waivers, so Spurs are stuck paying him. I doubt they'd grab somebody now who does not "know the system", would just sit on the bench, like Baynes.
It's not too late for a 10 day contract. Bring up Jamichal Green from the Toros. He's 6'9" and athletic, plus can make free throws and layups. He knows a little about the Spurs system and has played with Joseph this year. Dominic McGuire or Donte Greene would probably go for a 10 day as well.
No cry babies allowed in this thread. It doesn't behoove. Now let's get.
Meh, on second thought 10 day contract would do nothing. Forget about it!

For those of you who thought, "Hmmm, I wonder what James Gist (Panathinaikos) or Erazem Lorbek (FCB) are doing about now?" They are, of course, under contract and playing in the Euroleague playoffs..against each other. Gist has a sore tendon, though.
Check out James Gist. He had a couple of nice dunks and a sweet block in Game 1.

At the very least, sign a guy to a big stiff to a 10 day contract and save Duncan / Splitter's legs for the final three games. Will cost $50k-$100k max. Oh wait, we already have one at the end of the bench.
But someone to take Kawhi's minutes at SF would be nice for the Golden State game. No way anyone plays that game.
No one is going to be signed. Pop would never play them anyway.
Pop would not play anyone anyway, but yes I think they need to get someone. This Team is so freaking tiny right now and with only 1 SF who will be guarding Durant or Lebron outside of Lenard of course.
Those are two players that draw a ton of fouls, KL most likely will be in foul trouble all game.
If the Spurs sign someone, they'll just use him for the regular season to allow Kawhi and Green to rest (ala Derrick Byars last year).
Did Kenyon martin ever get signed? I lost track with where he is at
My pick is Dominic McGuire.
I don't think Spurs can find a player good enough to be a full time backup SF. The backup SF slot will be primary hold by Green/Ginobili. Spurs are still fine depth wise on the wings with Leonard, Ginobili, Green and Neal.
The best use to do with that roster spot is to sign a situational player that could help them at some point of the playoffs. I can see Mcguire being that guy by giving Spurs a second good defender behind Kawhi to slow down Durant and Lebron.
Knicks.
And I don't see a signing happening. Like others have said, if we do, it's not going to matter anyways. The guy would get a couple minutes only in a jam, and probably not even that.
They'll probably sign someone, but I doubt it will be anyone who will play.
why not bruce bowen?
Because he's retired.
I like this pick also. Though I highly doubt the Spurs will make a move.
Pop's wet dream is about to come true...
He's Matt Bonner w/ 15% more athleticism.
The Red Towers.
Bobby Simmons? He knows the system already. Is he with anyone right now?
I read a rumor that Sean ****** is coming out of retirement to play this postseason, tbh...
If we make it that far they should have thought of that before they cut Jax, but I don't even know if they make it to the WCF, they have go get past Houston and then a tougher team in round two and that right now looks iffy.
The Warriors will have to pay the Spurs a lot of money to take that garbage back.
Jax wasn't going to take us anywhere. That he's gone now doesn't mean we will not go far. People need to chill out.
