Actually I wouldn't recommend the Gunther lol.
Overpriced, extremely small rooms and there are absolutely no extras like microwave, fridge, free breakfast or even free internet.
My stay sucked there sucked, tbh.
Gunther Hotel....historical, downtown. I'd recommend anywhere downtown if you are coming all that way. See the place...eat at Rosarios!

I think OP gets the point that the area by the AT&T Center is ghetto tbh.
Why not ask Blakes ex-wife if you can stay with her while youre in town though? Im sure shed be pleased to have you tbh.
All the hotels in downtown SA are haunted, apparently.![]()
Wow, sorry for your bad experience! I stayed there years ago and enjoyed the vibe of the place. There are probably more spacious and luxurious newer hotels for the same price. Maybe stay at the Omni, Hyatt, or some place like that and go on a ghost hunt at the Gunther!Have to admit I was impressed with their history more than some might be. Still think downtown would be a cooler cultural experience if you're coming from NY...
Why are you hijacking this thread, FkLA?
Smh obsessed
The hotels by AT&T Center are quite expensive since you need to pay by the hour.
Yeah they were afraid to break the generational arc of poverty in the projects where the arena should have gone.
Funny thing is they still tore down the projects.
I appreciate the history and culture of the Gunther. The telephone board and mail shoots were cool. Gorgeous lobby, nice restaurant, bar.
The room itself sucked though. I've had better stays at Super 8.
Why are you a cuck, Blake ?
smh cuck
Sorry man, you want golf in SA you gotta go with the TPC San Antonio resort.
Wow, Victoria Courts was an area the county was considering? Don't know why they ever built that piece of on such a great piece of land.
Do the OP a favor and take this to the club.
No need to be a classless clown here.
Blake is a cuckold.
I stayed in the drury hotel on the riverwalk. Pretty nice hotel and was a Decent price. Not to mention they give good breakfast a decent nighttime snack with 3 free alcoholic beverages.
Parking is too expensive on the river walk. We always stay at the embassy suites near the airport when we travel home to see the spurs.
c'mon man!!! its not about the golf!! you use the cart all over the property. the casita's have there own pool and hot tub.
Park and Ride is pretty good....
That was a place the city was considering before they punted. Should have been there or in the Alamodome parking lot. It was built right after WW2, so who knows what was there then.
Stay downtown and take the number 24 bus.
They built it in like 1940 as projects for white people.
Ah, the city; they kept trying to fold in a rebuilding of the convention center that was going to double the price and put the arena vote in danger of failure. Glad the Spurs told them to go themselves and went with the county plan instead.
Howard Peak and his dog crap council flunkies dine eternally on the corn from Charles Smith's e.
