RJ didn't even give san antonio a chance to compete like Jax did. Almost immediately after the swap, Spurs really picked up steam. I remember vividly last year reading the "game grades" having to miss the games and just wondering if the Spurs were any different than the ones that faced the Grizzlies. Soon after Jax came around, games seemed like a downhill battle. Not saying he was the sole reason, but he really sparked it in everybody, that and signing diaw really brought the change these guys needed last year. maybe T-Mac will do something similar on a smaller scale

    NO........ NO! That is all.
One hit some threes and played some D in last years playoffs, that alone >>>>>>>>>> Jefferson, plus the contract is off the books now next year whereas RJ would have still be here making 11 million. I still have no clue why the Spurs resigned RJ and for that much after his horrible first year here.
    That's the better question.

Would you dump Splitter for Al Jefferson?

Jack could have peed on Pop's face the moment he got here and Ezeli can turn into the next Serge Abaka and I'd still look fondly on the day we got rid of HWSNBN.

There are Ezelis available every draft. Sucker GMs who essentially pay $10M for a #30 pick are much harder to find.

The Spurs saved 10 million for a raw big man and got T-Mac on the cheap.

I'd take the First Round Virgin over any day.

The Spurs would have probably wasted the pick on another undersized guard or a Euro prospect. When's the last time the Spurs drafted a shot blocking big with size?
Why did they draft Marcus Denmon?

Why did they draft Marcus Denmon?
Because they liked his numbers and he wouldn't be a risky pick.
