    Metta with another fine quote
A fine quote that won't sit well with his own coach, tbh.

MWP would take pop's "show me some nasty" way to seriously and try to take out someone's head with his elbow.

I know he's considered a dirty player but I don't think he would ever go that far.

Does James Harden ring a bell?

I always thought that until he damn near decapitated James Harden last year. I have no real love for Harden, but what MWP did was brutal and animalistic.

Spurs fans are spoiled. Bonner's return comes due to injuries, Blair is on his way out, Tiago is starting, every player has gotten equal chance to earn playing time, and the team has finished top 1-2 seed the past 3 years while sticking it to Stern. Coaches have more to do with a team's success than people give them credit for and it's always seemed so stupid to me that half of ST thinks they'd manage the team better.
There is much wisdom in your observation.

I just said he's the best coach in the league, tbh..

He's overrated because the media and non-Spurs fans that don't follow the team closely act like his doesn't stink, as if he doesn't have his fair share of blunders and blemishes on his resume..

Like TD21 said, Pop's system generally receives more credit than the players do nowadays..

I'd take Pop over any coach in the league without hesitation, but he's stubborn and he has a long list of -ups, just like any other coach, tbh..I'm not Paranoid Pop or Fabbs or any of those s that hate Pop for any decision he makes, I'm merely pointing out that he isn't the flawless coach that the media has portrayed..
Agree 100%. Love Pop, he is the best, but sometimes I think people forget we have 3 future hall of famers on our roster. There are a few parts that have worked together to make the Spurs such a successful organization - the players, and the personnel decisions to get those players, the coaching, managing the salary cap, and a little luck. I'm not sure how I'd weigh them in importance, but coaching wouldn't be number 1.

Pop isnt perfect and sometimes makes bad decisions. The amazing thing though is that the main core still trusts him. This is what makes him a legend. The trust and comradery he has in the locker room is the stuff of greatness.

He almost always has his team in positions to win. That is what coaching is.

    It's easy :
    1. Duncan
    2. Pop/coaching
    3. Everything else

It's not just coaching though, it's also the mentality, team spirit, discipline and general team culture that Pop brings to the table. Few other NBA coaches bring anything else to their teams other than basketball coaching.

Even after the big 3 are gone, as long as we have Pop, we will always be able to compete, maybe not contend, but guys will play hard for him. Hopefully he'd even be able to draw FAs here.

While Pop is easily the best coach in the NBA, he's also the most overrated, if that makes sense, tbh..
NBA coaches are way overrated as it is. It's a players league.

No other coach adds pieces like this and manages minutes all year long to get this team to the WCF last year! Give Pop some credit he did a of a job last year with a deep roster and managing minutes for Gods sakes. That team last year would not win a le with any coach, he got him them that far.

You've made a poor impression on Lakers ground. Metta World Peace's brother, Daniel Artest, is an avid spurs fan who frequents lakers ground. He called you an idiot fan for posting this.

Metta is going to be Spurs biggest problem.

Leonard better be ready because will hit the fan if he doesn't.

The most encouraging thing about this series is that with D'Antoni at the other bench instead of Phil, Pop wont' go into a vapor lock.
