I vote keep him. He's got more to learn only improve.
With Horry and with Scola coming in, Gooden is likely to end up buried as the #4 PF, and none of the 3 of them can really play center. To me, that sounds like we're setting him up to fail, regardless of how talented he is.
You never know who will be available, but if we could find a promising prospect at the 3 -- whether it's Diaw or someone else -- he could likely carve out a little more PT (if he deserves it).
The only way I can see Gooden making sense is if you consider him a backup plan in case Scola falls on his face. If that's what you're planning for, I suppose it makes sense to have a prospect in the wings who could help pick up the pieces.
I vote keep him. He's got more to learn only improve.
The question is:
Can a Starter have only 30 FTA in all the season and made only 14 in 70 games as a starter?
He shots 0.42 FTA x game and made 0.2 FT x game, 1FTA each 119 minutes or 2 (one foul) each 238 minutes or 1 foul received each 5 games
If Rasho can´t take fouls, the C and the F-C can make fouls to TD, 12 fouls for only one man, and TD must to pay that style of play in the IL
Nazr don´t have great numbers but 56 FTA in 23 Games is 2.43 each game and made 32: 1,39 Att x game, and in only 414 minutes, 1 FTA each 7.39 minutes
If the Center plays like Rasho, TD always will have doubles
Uhhh Duh!
Count me IN
rashos 6 fouls will be useful this season...
Yes. He did after all.Can a Starter have only 30 FTA in all the season and made only 14 in 70 games as a starter?
Should he? No, but I'd venture a guess that Nazr's own-shot-blocked total is about 5 times that of Rasho.
I'm content to wait for training camp to sort all this out.
Should we, can we, will we trade Rasho?
I am mixed on this. He is expensive (what like 7 mill a year? or something- maybe somebody could get me the right numbers for how many years). On the other hand, he might help us against Shaq next year ? (maybe). His numbers were low here. So, we might not be able to get much in return. So it might not be worth it for us. He does know our defensive scheme. Plus, if a big goes down, we definitely would need him (as bad as his numbers might be, without him, with a totally small lineup could we really beat many teams?). Does Pop want to trade him or keep him? Who could we realistically get in exchange? Since I'm not sure what to think about this, I'd like to hear other Spur fans' thoughts.

Jesus H Christ on a popsicle stick.
Now, I'm a Christian, so I've always wanted to know what the H stands for![]()
It's quite obviously Humbert.
for the nth time....
See, it's a good thing you're around to educate me. Otherwise I would've been completely lost on that one.
I should have started a thread saying Mahimi's uncle was a distant cousin to Michael Jordan or something new and novel like that. The only problem is it would have been a lie.
