There wasn't an asterisk on Miami's le last year when Derrick Rose went down because they beat a superior opponent in the Finals in OKC.
There won't be one on ours this year (should we win) for the same reason.
In other words, "the Spurs are lucky so many teams have key injuries, otherwise they'd lose to the Thunder and/or other ESPN gobbled teams".
Basically just a big excuse piece for the rest of the wesr. Spurs have had more than their share of major injuries derail their le hopes over at least five seasons I can recall immediately. . .so it's annoying as to hear it as an excuse for anyone else now.

JA Adande writes at a 4th grade level, but still has a job because all he does is kiss Laker azz 24/7/365. He wrote off Duncan and the Spurs at least four years ago, so it sickens me to see that he's begrudgingly written something positive about the Spurs. It's obviously by assignment, not by choice. He'd much rather write about what Bryant is having for breakfast on game days now that he's out for six months. You know, providing sports fans with pertinent information.
not to mention they won in a lockout shortened season...
