I don't get this idea people have that sports should be apolitical, when they have always been extremely political.
Also, if this would be happening to another sports network, what are the odds ESPN would run with the le:
"What would Kobe do?"

The bottom line is if sexuality wasn't a negative situation then why make announcements at all? Why ask anyones opinion about it at all? Who is talking about being heterosexuals, yep, nobody.
People in the media (like they get paid) can't talk openingly about this. They must say the right things. Well I don't.
sexuality can and should be tolerated. But....we don't need the parades. And they need to realize they simply can't do some things. Yep, pro football being one of them. It's just not suited for a gay athlete, plain and simple. Yes yes yes if asked his teammates will say all the right things but trust me they aren't thinking what they are bull ting the media with.
Just have our gay basketballer hug and kiss on his gay lover a few times not unlike the others kissing/hugging their wives/girlfriends and watch what happenings.
