Yeah because every player that has sprained an ankle has had lingering problems forever. It is negative but true and it should be a concern for the rest of Duncan's career.![]()
It is the truth. It is negative but true and it should be a concern for the rest of Duncan's career.

He has sprained his ankle multiple times. If you sprain once or twice it might not be a big deal but more than that it becomes serious.
He sprained both his ankles this season. So which ankle is that you say he has sprained severely 3 or more times? He has sprained his ankle multiple times. If you sprain once or twice it might not be a big deal but more than that it becomes serious.
at least duncan didn't lose his balls last season like garnett did. that's irreversible.
I'm sure a lot of players have had multiple severly sprained ankles in their lifetime. Doesn't mean they won't be as good as they have been before.
One thing Duncan doesn't have is young legs. He will never be at that level again. He might as well quit.
I've sprained my ankle a few times, too. Doesn't make me any worse for wear.

Batten down the hatches, everybody. I feel an avalanche coming.
The more times an ankle is sprained, the more the ligaments are stretched.Yeah because every player that has sprained an ankle has had lingering problems forever.
My right ankle has been severely sprained 3 times (all grade 2), and in stretch tests, there is a big difference between my left and right ankles.
Although my ankles are still strong, my right ankle is more apt to turn because it is more loose than the other one.
Make sense?
yeah but your not a sports star that has to do alot of training and and play basketball for a living
Wow. Should we throw the veteran's minimum at him and see if he bites? You never know, he might just want to play for a winner at this point in his career.
I didn't know he was a free agent. Last time I heard San Antonio is stuck him for a long time.
Or both?![]()
(It's not funny, I know...)
Thread comments - I missed Duncan's own comments about "what percent" he thought his ankles were during the finals, anyone have a quote?

Somebody called Isiah Thomas?
All you ever talk about is Truth this and Truth that... Here's the Truth for you: You're a complete idiot when it comes to basketball. I don't care if you have NBA League Pass, watch ESPN day and night, go to every game..... with your small basketball IQ, its all a waste of your money. Why don't you sell your season tickets, get a refund on your League Pass and buy some fishing rods and go up and spend some time with your boy KG up in Minny.
hmmm I don't think we should sign him...no emotions!
Hahahahaha
Yeah, can you believe the audacity of that jerk Kareem? He turned 30 in '77 and had the nerve to hang around and win 5 more les with the Lakers instead of quitting like he should have.
coincidence???

With all the talk of who SA will pick up with the MLE/LLE
Something that is going under the radar is the return of a healthy Tim Duncan. Even in the finals his ankles were taped like a cast and it was reported he was still feeling a lot of pain.
After a summer of rest he will prob be the best pickup SA gets regardless of how the money is spent
