No, but I'll tell you, when Lakers were winning it was a fun board. I noticed this season as the team fell apart so did the board, let that be a partial warning for Spurstalk. It seemed like everyone just turned on eachother, not only about the Lakers but the off-topic area about general movies\sports. Anyway, the reason I like this board is ironically because it's so lightly moderated, everyone works things out with eachother by laughing it off instead of getting butt hurt and calling the mods for help. There's actually a REPORT this button on posts at LG and people use that all the time.

Disrespecting greats like Kareem, Magic, Jordan, and Kobe. Now LeBron has had 2 straight years of GREAT basketball and all of the sudden he's the GOAT? What a joke. How quickly everyone forgets the 2010 Finals where this so called GOAT was nowhere to be found. He was proclaimed King on his rookie season for God's sake. Complete travesty, the world we live today is just ridiculous.

I have to clarify this (again). I'm not a Lebron hater at all. What I hate is the overhype. It's all the fans that think lebron is the best that bother me, not lebron himself. He's doing whatever he can do, I don't have anything to criticize there. But when everyone in the world is claiming these grand things about him, holy cow, he just isn't that good.

Even the improvements that are mentioned the last couple of years...he was already way overhyped coming into the nba, and his skills were nowhere near the hype. Just because he's closed the gap on the skills somewhat doesn't make him now unbelievable. Now, he's like an ok superstar (still nothing super special). {I still will take Pippen in a heartbeat 8-) }

He's improved his psot game, great. Now, he plays post as well as, say, dirk? Just because he improves doesn't mean you have to make the overhyping even more. There are still many many post players who are better, including kobe, who is a gaurd, smaller, older, and possibly the best. That's just one example. For every skill he has, there are many many players who do that better.

Maybe he does everything so a tad over average, that makes him the best ever?! Or because he has big muscles and is fast? So he's the most physical specimen we've seen in the nba (also an exaggeration) with above average skills, and that makes him the best. Sheesh. Not to mention all the help he receives from everywhere...media, fans, refs...i'm convinced that he's too big to fail. For some reaason, if lebron is exposed as sucky, the nba will go to .

I just wish one person would go on tv and just admit he's a very good player, but the hype far exceeds his rank. He's no consensus #1, he's definitely not 4 mvp worthy...this is all insulting to kobe by the way...i can't point to any particular skill that he's the best at or even amongst the best. Not even dunking! He's the best at having the right combination of statistics to get overhyped.

Guy has probably never seen Magic play, probably in his early or mid 20's. Has youtubed a few clips of Magic and believes Kobe is greater. I have no problem with Kobe tbh, I just think he really ed this season up in alot of ways, I guess to each their own. LG'ers see it as Kobe saved the season, and there is truth to that as well.

The reality is, the only chance Kobe really had of winning a le this year or anytime soon was if he took a back pedal from his role as the "ULTIMATE" alpha dog, and allowed the team to help him. Afterall, that is what he claimed he wanted since he felt older and didn't have the athleticism. But the reality sank into me as a Laker fan, when the preseason started and he was already boasting during training camp," BTW, for those of you wondering, this is still MY TEAM." It was already over, and with him taking 30-40 shots per game and refusing to let Nash and Howard do his thing, KB24 proved that he wants to win his way, alas he will forever remain with 5 championships...not bad tbh but it could have been more if he was more of a facilitator
