conan sucks compared to conan+andy combo

I still like Conan when I actually have time to watch, but I miss the "desk drive" and Andy's obsessed little sister.

I wonder how much of Late Night is going to translate to the Tonight Show.

"THE" Carson hasn't been on in like 12 or 13 years, but some of you think about Carson Daly when you say "Carson".

It's going to depend how old you are. If you grew up watching the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, he was the Gold Standard, but he was on for 30 years. That was before people started clicking over to watch ESPN SportsCenter after the local news (10:30 Central).

Late-night variety and talk shows now appeal to different audiences than it did two decades ago. Jack Parr and Johnny set the format standard that still exists but it's definitely got a different set of demographics today.

I like the Tonight Show (Leno) the best because of familiarity but I seldom watch it. Conan can be pretty funny but he kind of creeps me out sometimes.

I only got to see those show via internet... <cough>torrents</cough> but i've seen them all and i agree with you.
And it's also a matter of the show's contents. I like The Daily Show and Jon Stewart but maybe because of its "liberal bias" (as redn... err... conservatives like to call it).

It;s "late night" for me!! chasing a 15 month old all day and growing a baby in the old tummy teranium has pushed by bedtime ot an all time low of 9:30 . I cath the daily show the next morning at 9am, and re-runs of Conan on cable. Letterman I'm lucky to watch 1x a month.

Is Conan going to move his show to LA when he takes over for Jay or will he stay in NYC? I can't wait until he gets the good time slot and some better guests. I will miss Kevin Eubanks, though...he's way cooler than Max Wienburg

They've all got high points and low points IMO. Leno's monologue is hit or miss. Letterman could do pages out of the phone book and make them funny. Conan's jokes are usually weak but the physical stuff he does to get out of a bomb is usually pretty funny.

Leno's Headlines is my favorite bit.
