These three days of rest probably couldn't have come at a better time. The Spurs were all visibly gassed in the fourth and OT, especially Parker. Fortunately, so were the Grizzlies. I was watching the game with a friend who doesn't even watch any basketball, and even she commented that they all just looked tired.

At this point no wild horses is going to get TP off the court, if he had to play on one leg. Well except for Pop. He'd sit "the best PF ever" with 4 mins left, he'd do the same to TP. But I think it's a precautionary thing than anything else. The 4 days off should do wonders on TP's legs.

Parker scheduled for precautionary MRI on calf

Posted on May 22, 2013 at 1:57 pm by Dan McCarney in featured, Spurs, Tony Parker
Tony Parker said his bruised left calf is improving, but he'll have a precautionary MRI on Thursday "just to make sure." (USA Today)
Tony Parker’s three-day layoff between Games 2 and 3 of the Western Conference finals will include a precautionary MRI on Thursday to track the progress of his bruised left calf.
Parker was initially injured 12 days ago in Game 3 of the conference semifinal series against Golden State, resulting in what he described as “by far” the biggest bruise he’s ever had.
“The calf is doing better,” he said. “Doing the MRI…just to make sure. It definitely limited me in the limit me in the last (three) games against Golden State and those two games (against Memphis).
“But slowly and surely I’m turning the corner. Those three days arrive at a perfect time for me, so I’m definitely going to use them wisely. I’ll be ready to go on Saturday.”
Parker is averaging 18 points in five games since the injury, alternating two strong shooting performances (9 for 16 and 9 for 14) around three poor ones (6 for 17, 3 for 16, 6 for 20).
He offset his errant stroke during Tuesday’s overtime victory in Game 2 with a career-playoff best 18 assists. Fatigue was a factor, however, as he wore down near the end of his team-high 42 minutes. He is averaging 36.3 minutes per game in the postseason, 3.4 more than the regular season.
“I was definitely tired,” Parker said. “I think all the minutes against Golden State and the first two games (against Memphis) was wearing down on me. I have to play defense on (Mike) Conley, chasing on pick and rolls, and then be the generator on offense for everybody. I was a little bit tired, but it happens to everybody.”
Game 3 is Saturday in Memphis. The Spurs lead the series 2-0.

After having listened to his practice interview, it sounds like there is nothing to worry about and that Parker's calf is truly getting better.

So Parker was injured in the playoffs against Memphis last time? Is that what you're saying? When he got his ass handed to him by Conley? If so... LMAO.
    Scoreboard, .

Tony Parker going for another MRI on his left calf tomorrow. No new injury. Just tracking the progress of his recovery.
