After last season's collapse I honestly didn't even think the Spurs would get back to the WCF let alone having a shot to go back to the Finals. I've assumed wrong all year, and I've assumed Miami was unstoppable all year...

One thing we have that most people don't account for (including us) is Manu Ginobili. He's impossible to plan for. Even Pop cannot plan for how he's going to contribute. However, you didn't really assume wrong. You just didn't know RW would go down, and you didn't know the Lakers would stink it up and that Kobe would recuse himself with the Achilles injury. We didn't think we'd be playing GS in the 2nd round, didn't see the Clippers falling in the 1st to Memphis. We certainly didn't see this 3-0 lead happening. Crazy happens and the Spurs are poised to make their 5th Finals appearance. I'm hoping they get there, and when they do I'm just going to enjoy it. I hope they do as well. If we win, that's going to be epic. I'll be on a high until the next freeze. Last time I stayed at this lake cabin I'm going to be at during the Finals, the Spurs won the ring. I had to watch on a small b&w TV with poor reception but I watched.
They would have made it A LOT further than I expected. I'm still shocked they are one win away from the finals when these guys were having trouble against teams like the T'Wolves in the final stretch of the season. Talk about bluffing

I won't go into "Mark Jackson Mode" until we win the Memphis series, tbh, lol. ... But sometimes when you let go of the need to try to control things that you have absolutely NO control of... that is when pieces of a bigger, more wonderful puzzle start falling into place.
Even if the Grizzlies win and make it a 3-1 series, I wouldn't be seriously worried - unless they proceed to make it 3-2. Then suddenly it's a whole different series - they'd be back home at FedEx Forum with a chance to force a Game 7.
No, I didn't get my broom yet. I see a lot of threads about Spurs vs Heat, and that's fine. Personally I'm either too supers ious or maybe methodical about everything to make comments like that, I just want us to beat the Grizzlies in the most effective way possible, then I'll worry about what happens next.

Grizzlies ain't doin' . Refs doin' work trying to keep them in the game.
Heat could to 7 games with Pacers and still would be heavy favorites- Spurs get to finals playing with house money will be HUGE underdogs
