game 2 will decide that..
That's likely true. The "Twin Towers" Spurs had an absolutely suffocating defense. They would probably sweep this Heat team.
game 2 will decide that..
If the Spurs win game 2, I can see the divide between Miami's Big 3 getting larger. There already seems to be hints of this through comments by LeBron and Wade that were made in their prior series. If the Spurs sweep, Miami's Big 3 are done. I can see LeBron taking "his talents" else where.
Most def. Even tho we have three straight games in SA, I don't see us beating this Heat team three straight games. It won't happen imho.
Barkley on Griffin and ESPN "If you dunk once or twice ESPN is going to make you a star".... hahaha everyone attacking ESPN nowadays..

charles sucks at predictions so take this with a grain of salt
We def need to close them out at home.
If its a close game 2, I do think spurs can close out in SA. Role players play better at home.
You're right. I have confidence that we can outright win the next one.
I really didn't like how he never ate crow after saying we were going to lose to Memphis.
I kept waiting on the TNT pre-game and post-game shows to admit that he was dead wrong and he never did. In fact, he pretty much ignored our series entirely.
And him picking us over the Heat does not surprise me. He always picks against the Heat. Unfortunately, he's always wrong too.
He also said the Pacers would win in 6.. I don't really take Chuck seriously when it comes to predictions.
Well if the Spurs win Sunday Up Chuck will be right.
Even if we win game 2 ....
In 93, Barkley and Co lost the first 2 games at home, then won 2 out of 3 in Chicago
You wouldn't want Charles Barkley taking your 5th graders state and capitols test, but his perspective on basketball and life in general makes his opinions very well-regarded and everyone wants to hear them. Always been a huge fan.
Chuck also predicted Indiana to beat the Heat and Memphis to beat the Spurs.
he's pretty much the timvp of television at this point![]()
I liked the interview. Barkley dropped truth bombs on the Clippers, Blake Griffin, Miami Heat, Dwayne Wade, Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, and Jeremy Lin.
Chuck needs to stop denying that he's a Heat hater.
But yeah I wouldn't take his prediction as a good thing since he predicted a Grizzlies/Pacers finals.
that second clip posted above is hilarious, Chuck dropping lots of truth bombs as usual and even admits he's come to agree with Shaq on Howard not being a leader.
I predicted early on that this series will go to 7, I don't give a where it ends as long as Spurs can walk away victoriously. Game 2 will be a bloodbath though, because Spurs are just starting to get into a good rhythm and Heat will play desperate. I agree with teh comment above that the Heat will come apart quicker than us if hits the fan, because their team a)has more pressure and b)they don't have the years of chemistry we have.
I agree here, the only comforting thing I see right now is Phil saying he thinks the Spurs will win the series. I have to take it seriously when he says it lol.
The Spurs would have to play out of their minds to sweep the Heat because there's no way David Stern wants to go out that way.
Kenny is a Heat hater too. And Shaq is not far behind. I would know
don't know why but the entire NBA on TNT really don't like the Kang. I can imagine the conversations they have in the green room![]()
If the Spurs take Game 2 like the Mavs did in 2011 of the Mavs-Lakers WCSF, the odds would suddenly be overwhelmingly in San Antonio's favor.
I fully expect the Spurs to lose Game 2. It just seems highly unlikely that the Heat don't respond. For me, the key is keeping the game close and not letting the Heat run away with it heading to SA. Both squads can improve, and I believe they will. My original prediction for the series was L-W-W-L-W-W for the Spurs, and now I don't view a W-L-W-L-W-W outcome as unreasonable. Sets up an epic Game 5 in San Antonio and gives the Spurs the clincher before a do-or-die Game 7.
Barkley is exactly right. It's been said by many bloggers on twitter too who were shouted down for daring to say such things. Miami is a flawed ball club. To win they rely a bit on the other team being dumb. They lose when they face smart teams. IE dallas in 2011. The problem is, wade is not only hurt, but he wasnt playing that fantastically healthy. I guarantee one adjustment will be is to make Wade a jump shooter.
This Spurs team is greedy on the road. I have a feeling the Spurs will win game 2 Sunday.
