saw the Lakers series in person, every chance Manu got whether it be pregame or on the bench he was stretching his hamstrings.
whatever it is, he's used to it by now.
Damn pop is the best coach in the nba by far. Not even close

Those two guys (Martin and Morales) are by far the greatest commentators of any sport ever.
Wouldn't expect YOU to say that
Didn't know those 2 guys but they sound great indeed.
In France, we are fortunate too with the amazing Jacques Monclar (who happens to be one of the best French coach too). He is rightfully considered as one of the best commentator/pundit of any sport
They don't.
Yes, but it is moslty a discussion like the ones in this forum: "Ball hog", "Hero Ball" and Argentinean favorite: "Bucket Head".
Yes, they are awesome, especially when you compare them to those idiots from Space.
1) The TP hate story is real but a little dated by now. It all started mainly because during the Finals in '05, the guy calling the game for the local TV was really a Tony hater and kept going on and on about how a ball hog he was. Manu had an Olympic gold medal that was only months old and now he was having a mayor role in the Finals, so those games and its aftermath were by far the highest point in Manu's popularity here in Argentina. He was everywhere in a country that only cares for fútbol. Lots of people that couldn't be bothered to watch a single NBA game before were now having strong opinions and talking about Tony, and the selfish label not only stuck, but it evolved into TP being especially selfish towards Manu: he may pass the ball to TD (after all, he's the star of the team) but he had a personal dislike for Manu.
Since then the country has moved on and returned to his usual lack of interest in the game, interrupted here and there by some special game or tournament, but not for long. People that are discovering (o re-discovering) TP today are not getting the same message as in '05.
2) Those two in the video, as some already said, are Puerto Ricans and the single best team of commentators I have ever seen. I'm including every sport here in Argentina/Latin America and I'm also including English speaking NBA broadcasts; thanks to SAP and the internet I think I have listened to every call/color team in the US national TV (and a great many in the local US broadcasts) for the last 10 year or so. They are simply the perfect mix. Encyclopedic knowledge of rules, tactics, players, history and recent news; you always learn something about the game with them. Great chemistry. Perfect balance between being no-nonsense and being fun. They even set themselves apart by their great use of the language, especially when compared with their vocabulary-challenged counterparts in Argentina.
Saludos.
Let's be honest. I love Tony as much as anybody, but he sometimes goes out of his way to not pass to Manu. I remember a couple possessions in a row against Memphis, it was very obvious. Blind haters go ahead and try to hate on my comment, doesn't matter, it's true anyway.
I remember he really had to defend Pop too with his people when Pop decided he was pretty much going to be a lifetime 6th man. Funny how it's gotten popular for coaches to do since Manu started the trend that it was kind of cool again.
What does that suppose to mean? Oh, that I'm a homer right? Martin is Mexican, Morales Puerto Rican so take that as you will. Besides, haven't you already learnt the hard way to do not doubt what I say?![]()
Montero and Jacubovich, they are awfulI don't know why with so many great players and coaches in this country they had to choose those two.
Morales is ok. Alvaro Martin is a beast in what he does...
He's a good play-by-play guy for the NFL too
Lamentable! Gracias a Dios por el SAP!![]()
