Miami rapper Flo Rida and his manager, two of the Heat’s biggest fans, may not be at the game tonight.
The reason: Flo Rida’s manager “Freezy” may have been a bit too boisterous and aggressive at Game 1 and 2 of the NBA Finals at the American Airlines Arena.
Freezy, whose real name is Lee Prince, said he has been banned by the NBA from attending the next two final games at the Triple A after San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich called him a distraction.
Though Flo Rida wasn’t involved, he won’t be at the game either, according to Freezy.
“We ride together,” he said. Flo Rida left for Las Vegas after hearing about the sanction. He’ll catch the game there, Freezy says.
Freezy, who chose to remain in Miami, said NBA attorneys warned him not to show up tonight. Otherwise, he’ll be arrested. He has asked his lawyer to appeal to the NBA to rescind the expulsion.
“This is an act of discrimination,” he said, adding that he did no more than what any other fan would do at an NBA final: support the team and enjoy the game.
“I am not an outside celebrity. I am a local fan and I’m gonna get emotional watching my team play,” Freezy said.
He said he never had any kind of interaction with Popovich and never threatened anyone during Game 1 and 2.
Tim Frank, an NBA media spokesman, said the organization does not comment on security matters.
Freezy and Flo Rida are regular attendees at home games. They sit near the visiting team’s bench.
During Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Indiana Pacers and the Heat, footage showed Freezy being escorted out by security guards moments after an altercation erupted between Heat point guard Norris Cole and Pacers reservist Jeff Pendergraph.
Both players were ejected.
During the messy situation, Freezy could be seen standing up apparently trying to intervene in the dispute.
When word hit social media about Freezy’s ban, Heat fans quickly reacted.
“ If Freezy wants to hook me up and move me down from the bleeds with seats next to pop, ill be the distraction for him tonight!” fan David Parks tweeted on The Ticket’s Facebook page.
Even if they won’t be there tonight, Freezy said his and Flo Rida’s seats will not be empty.
As of Tuesday morning, the floor seats tickets were selling on the secondary market for $25,000.
Miami Herald Researcher Monika Leal contributed to this report.

Yet more reason to enjoy a Spurs victory tonight.
a thug rapper manager putting stars and purple background on his posts
It is like this that I am glad Artest went into the stands. Same with Madmax. I do not care how much these guys make they are doing their job and your ticket does not give you the right to throw away common sense and flush your humanity down the toilet. I want to see Pop punch someone out. CIA pinch death grip.
I wonder how many games he attended before LBJ joined the Heat?
FIFY. his music is far from the word rap or hip hop
well IMO this is an issue with the league. They always have team sitting right next to audience. This is laughable if you look at Euro and internationall ball, where the crowd is way behind the team and behind a strong barrrier. and they are completely nuts out there
Point is, I don't mind the crowd getting way over the top, but with the way the seats are setup right now, it's just not acceptable to have these kinda es so close to the players.
Hopefully the Spurs will still help Freezy get all emotional tonight“I am not an outside celebrity. I am a local fan and I’m gonna get emotional watching my team play,” Freezy said.![]()
Wait, I thought Flo Rida was gonna rap the national anthem tonight?
the dude is a clown. i'm happy pop took care of that. anyways, check out the sexy yellabone on the far left.
hahahaha, touche!
Yep, you don't be ing around with the players or the coaches. Friendly banter is one thing but getting up in their grill is another.
