Unless you're stupid or you started to watch the NBA yesterday, you would know that there's a thing called the CBA, that contracts are negotiated in 2, 3, 4, etc year terms, that they include things such as minimum raises, etc etc etc.
It's not just Manu's contract. Tim's deal looked stupid when he looked done two seasons ago, and the Spurs couldn't even get out of the first round.
Manu's deal wasn't a year to year deal. The Spurs thought that was his value at that time, and they signed off on it. This summer, a new deal will have to be made if both parties want to continue together, and it will be adjusted to new realities.
Everybody 'grasps' the stupidity of this thread, you don't have to be a Manu nuthugger at all.
