Here's a hint: guys who shoot free throws differently at huge moments than they do during more normal situations? Those guys are much more likely to miss. You want guys to go out there, follow their usual routine, and shoot like they're playing Minnesota in January.

It didn't go in. It happens sometimes.
I got to agree with OP. I'm not knocking his performance or saying he shouldn't have followed his routine but he could have taken a little more time to gather himself. There's a reason players usually miss their first free throw and then hit the second. They're usually not focused and concentrated enough on that first free throw. In a TWolves game in January it might not matter but in game 6 of the Finals it does matter.

yeah, no need to learn from that other emotionless scrub, Tim Duncan.
True... he'd be better off learning from Ginobili. fiery compe or with the play to back it up to be honest.

Kawhi does have emotions but for now they're bottled up. One of these days they're going to erupt like Mount Vesuvius.

He's a huge reason the Spurs are in the Finals. I'll take a missed FT for that any day. Dude was great in that game.

    Stupid thread for two reasons:

    1. Why do we want players who express their emotion? I don't know why you bring up MJ because he was the ultimate assassin who never expressed any emotion except contempt for those he beat. I'm happy that Kawhi is so emotionally balanced that he takes something like this in his stride.

    2. We're not even in that game without Kawhi - he was absolutely superb.
Anyone who saw Space Jam knows Jordan is rife with emotions... and acting skills.

lol I thought Leonard missed an easy rebound, but I don't even know if I remember that right. Not keen to look back.

This Loss is not to Blame on him. Before Leonard missed his FT remember Manu also missed one that would have sealed it also, so lets not blame this kid. He Played better than everyone else except timmy Last Night. He should have been the one taking the shots in overtime instead of Parker.

Kawhi is awesome. If you don't see this, you are unknowledgeable about basketball and a terrible fair weather drama queen fan. The End. Thank you.

Yeah lets blame the 21 year old kid that makes 1 mil this year and protect the 35 year old veteran making 14 mil.

I think Kawhi comes out and plays the game of his life, given his extra motivation. That and he is the youngest starter on either team. The Heat may be younger, but they are not YOUNG. Lebron carrying the team for 50 minutes has to take some toll. I hope Kawhi makes him chase his 21 year old ass the entire game.

    This.

And not showing emotion is not the same to being emotionless.
