Parker never had it in him to be the leader of a championship team. The stats are very damning:

Parker's career season TS%: .550
Parker's career playoff TS%: .517

Parker's career season PER: 19.1

Parker's career playoff WS/48: .092

Huge drops from season to playoffs. Those numbers make David Robinson look clutch in comparison. He'll be remembered as a decent point guard that was lucky to play next to Tim Duncan.
