I was looking forward to seeing where DJ Stephens ended up...turns out he has accepted an invitation to play with the Miami Heat (Orlando Summer League)

Im pretty excited about Scott!!
You never know when your gonna find that next Gary Neal
Yeah he impressed me earlier in the year. I listed him as a target. Thought he was solid.
I think Scott could make the Spurs roster.
This tournament happens to be in Estonia, where I live, I can get a close look then. But its still against boys, not men, but some kind of picture anyway.
Nando will play the SL.
That's weird...
He didn't want to play in the D league and now he's playing in the summer league? Doesn't make much sense to me.
I don't love it. I'd rather let Joseph have the green light when it comes to running the offense than let De Colo have the green light when it comes to shooting. While they'd work very well together as a tandem in theory, I think Nando being there would hurt Joseph's growth.
Then again, as far as I know, Joseph isn't even committed to the summer league yet, and De Colo should only be able to play part of it. So it could work out. It's good news for people like Ryan Richards that they'll have a competent distributor on the floor with him. It's good for De Colo that he's willing to do this; it shows he's "getting over himself" a little.
That's what Nando said about him playing SL in an ITw given to his local nwspaper:

Is it now the Holidays?
No, I came back to France only for a few days but the SL starts new week. I'm going back to SA for a few days before playing the games in LV. That's something important for me to reassure coaches about their opinion on me and on how they can use me.
Yeah I don't love it either, I think it's fine to keep him as 3rd SG and Manu insurance, I just hope we don't get the same thing as last year with 4 players rotating at backup PG.
Good, then it shows the right at ude, which I'm sure the coaches will appreciate. The summer league is beneath him with his accomplishments, but he definitely could use the time to work on some elements of his game. At the worst, it is a chance to showcase himself for another team if the Spurs decide to go in another direction (like bringing in another point-guard or signing Evans).
Well, there are way better players in SL than in D-League. And for all the fuss makes around De Colo not liking the D-League, Spurs, to my knowledge, never wanted to send him down for more than one game. It's not like he refused to be assigned to the Toros.
Interesting that he mentions the Spurs need reassurance of his abilities. Sounds like the Spurs will look thoroughly into their guard options in free agency. Perhaps include him in a Thomas Robinson deal?
Good news about Dr Colo. He's still an unknown so any extra exposure helps in getting a good read on him.
Well the translation I made isn't that great. He said "conforter" which should more be translated into "to strenghten".
I will be curious to see if Spurs will play him at SG in that summer league. It's tough for De Colo to defend on the quick PGs. At the end of the season he started to be more physcial defensively which would help him against the stronger SG. I'm still convinced that his best spot in NBA is SG.
Having Denmon on the team will also be interesting. I want to see how much he has recovered from his foot injury.
This. It was also nice to see him at least on the active list for games by the end of the playoffs. If he can stay out of the doghouse and settle in better he could be really useful as a 2 that can act as a secondary (maybe even primary?) ballhandler.
i expect Baynes to beast in the SL.
So has the roster been set yet?
If Denmon's good to go I can see him alongside Nando in SL...
