It will go down as the biggest mistake ever in NBA Finals history. Would Phil Jackson ever bench MJ or Kobe with a 5 point lead and 28 seconds to go to win a le. Would Riley ever bench Magic or Kareem in the same situation? What about Tomjonavich...would he have benched Hakeem? I have never seen a top 10 player of All Time disrespected that much on the biggest stage in NBA history. It was disgusting. But Pop being Pop...he wont apologize...he thinks he is above us all. When the Spurs arrived back in San Antonio and Duncan didnt walk next to Pop getting off the plane and when Pop tried to hand him the mic to address the crowd and Duncan just looked at him and told Manu to take it....you knew Pop and Duncans relationship is never gonna be the same.
