They're gonna offer him a 2/12 Million deal.

I would suspect they'll run the numbers and make sure they get all the parties to agree before extending offer sheets, provided they really want Manu back. What CG said is certainly one way to tweak the numbers to make everything fit.
We don't even know for sure if he'll continue to play. I'm still kind of hoping Manu's wife will somehow still talk him into retirement while their on vacation not because I don't like him but I hate to see him end it this badly .
It definitely is, but just seems odd that you would do that and take those risks if you know for sure you want him back. But this is very likely something where the Spurs and Manu have an understanding. You don't just bolt during FA if you aren't confident you know what is going to happen![]()
I'm inclined to agree. But honestly, who the heck knows what's going through the FO minds.
This part is a pretty small concern, all things considered. The team would have at least until the 13th of July before his cap number would increase in a new deal. So that's plenty of time to re-sign Ginobili and sign Kirilenko. With the moratorium and matching time, they don't really have to ear mark any more money than his cap hold. The only way it would make sense to go for a deal sooner would be if he was going to start at less than his cap hold, which is certainly possible. But that only helps the Spurs.
That is what I was hinting at. If he takes less than the cap hold, that free's up more money
Soo manu isn't signed day1 and were freaking out lol
LMAO at those of you that want to offer Manu a 3 year $18 million contract. He'll by 39 years old by then. Can you guys make your love for Manu any more obvious? At his age, Manu deserves the veteran's minimum because that's what he is worth.
I'm praying this happens.
And it lets sign D-Rob to a 2yr $20mil contract and Avery Johnson to a vet min.
