Another regular season performer.![]()
Damn.. had to expect it though.
Another regular season performer.![]()
I can live with an 8-9M offer sheet. Hopefully that NBA Finals performance scared away teams, but you know some team like the Blazers and Rockets are ready to screw over the Spurs.
Tim's finals backup being paid a couple mil less than him.
He wasn't even a good backup.
Not sure who would be getting screwed in this scenario.
9M a year for a player that nobody trusts lol. Everyone would rather have 4M yr Diaw in the game.

Word is teams that were pursuing restricted free agent big man appear to be dropping off in anticipation of Spurs & Splitter coming to terms
Still u know Tim should b making more .
If Houston doesn't get Dwight splitter will get paid
Damn......

San Antonio is finalizing a five year, $45 million contract extension for center Tiago Splitter, league sources tell Y! Sports.
This seems about right, Spurs won't gamble and they won't let a player walk away. Tiago will get paid and probably were no other parties interested or were really in contention. Parties rumored probably trying to get Spurs to eat up cap so they can't offer deals to anyone.. So we'll just have the same returning team as last year and pray Tim/Tony can have another monster year.
Wow.......
Too much money but whatever. Saw it coming. Congrats Tiago.
No doubt its tough, I dnt believe its a no brainer for the spurs unless splitter was the only real option at c
5 years 45 million is the word....
Yeah, he's significantly better than Tiago. Tiago shouldn't get anywhere near what he gets. He wasn't even a competent backup in the finals.
Euroleague and D-League teams were interested.
This could be a VERY good deal for the Spurs, depending on how it is structured and what the options are on the final 2 years of the deal.
8 mil for Tiago is not a bad deal...Not sure bout the 5 yrs but there could be some options in there as well. Welcome back Tiago
too much money and too much years
Definitely interested to see the details of the contract. 5 years? wow.
