2nd round exit, maybe a WCF appearance.
That's more like it!![]()
Rockets will be decent but the Texans will rock to the Super Bowl.
Failure of they don't make it to at least a 6 or 7 game series in the second round. Making it to the conference finals as the ceiling.
They'll make the playoffs.
They won't win the last game they play.
Let us proceed...
This. Rockets are a perimeter lockdown defender away from being a somewhat legit force
You had 5 and somehow ended up with 4 again.
Ya in' screwball, you.
Yeah, very hard to go from a team with cap space to a legit contender. Future wheelings and dealings with Morey at the helm, along with added cap exceptions in coming years will determine our ultimate fate.
Just let me enjoy 4 > 2 for right now
I'd have them as the 3rd best team in the West, tbh..
1- San Antonio
2- OKC
3- Houston
4- LA Clippers
5- Memphis
6- Golden State
15- LA Lakers
Well presumably they won't be as dumb as the Lakers and won't go all-in for just one season... so within 3 years I think they can be contenders. Next year I don't think they'll amount to much.
still a 9th seed
do rocket s still dream of 2nd seed in the west like the last couple of seasons?
i wanna say WCF but with a cancer on board in dwight and ANOTHER cancer in smith possibly coming along, it won't look good for houston as it seems on paper.
I think they'll be a good team. They'll space the floor well, and be good on defense with Dwight down low. I don't think they'll gel enough as a team to make it out of the 2nd round. Rockets still need some pieces.
They'll be a great regular season team whose ceiling will be to take either SA or OKC to six games in a series (unsure about how good the Clips will be in the postseason).
I'm an even bigger optimist. They'll win 87 games in the regular season. Then another 23 in the playoffs.
These threads are meaningless imo. You just can't predict exactly whats going to happen, I think the ceiling is as high or low as possible. I'm leaning towards them being mediocore.
The one thing I'll say, and mark my words, your old problems always have a way of finding you unless you face them and conquer them. Dwight ran away from many of his issues once again, they WILL find him again in Houston. Go ahead and blame Kobe, D'antoni, etc etc...you'll see when he's beefing with that team and coaching staff that Dwight was a HUGE part of all this drama in both Orlando and LA.
I had the same talk with Philly fans when Bynum went there, they were convinced with the right system and team Bynum would flourish in Philly...we saw how that worked out.
Jeremy Lin......and Dwight Howard.........are superstars?LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo
Pelicans will be better than the Lakers and Blazers.
Agreed. They could easily wind up the 6 seed. It's pretty wide open after the top 5.
