Read thread led, "Teacher claims insanity."
I am not much older.
I absolutely adore Harry!
What is your problem with it?
Well, the early books were meant for that level. The basic age group being written to is (approximately) Harry Potter's age and higher.
As the series has progressed, and the characters have aged, so has the writing.
And so why would you rather have them reading nothing at all rather than this? It doesn't make sense.
You are still making absolutely no sense.
Just because you don't think much of reading doesn't mean it's a bad thing.
Maybe you should actually try reading them instead of just bashing.
Please. Nobody is calling it "literature". It's just a well-written series that's an enjoyable read.
And as for " ", since you haven't read them, you are hardly a reasonable source.
I thought so.
As I said, as the characters age in the series, the writing gets "older". But since you haven't read them, you wouldn't know that. You only read the book that was written for middle schoolers and are judging the entire series on that.
The movies aren't as good as the books. But that's pretty common.
Now, if you actually read the books and then come back with some literary criticism...then we can talk.

Hey, that avatar was a gift!!
So, ElPimpo, what do you consider a great work of literature? I personally read the HP books because they are fun reading, not to reach some level of enlightenment or to beef up my vocabulary.
i heard somewhere that jk rowling stole the idea from someone but thats just a rumor
although the question is for pimpo....id say the best book ever written was the Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky
i read the first four but i stopped after that because i didnt like it...
plus i was pissed at harry in the 4th one for not hittin up those two girls
and its sad because i read those when i was 8 or 9....pimpos right about the reading level
So, you're what 13 or 14?
And using the punctuation and sentence construction of the same.
travis telling elpimpo he doesnt read
thats funny
Elpimpo telling Travis he's dumb is even funnier...![]()
i'd rather read pooh's book than harry potter.
i read 'a child called it' the other day. very quick read. i recommend it.![]()
I happen to like my avatar...a good friend made it for me.
I must say...y'all are amusing.
