Have you considered doing an ad for ticket sites/ Spurs tickets? Those would be topical ads and may prove to be useful to posters.

just put them in the parts where no one looks, like the bottom and crap.

Advertisers don't want ads at the bottom where nobody looks. If you do that and they find out, they won't pay you.

Advertisers aren't stupid. They're going to make sure it's in a prominent location before they agree to it.

There's rules for where you place ads. They need to be in the top fold in order for you to get paid. LJ's business is internet advertising, so we actually know all about it. We have some text ads on the front of FullSportPress.com for a ticket place at the bottom -- but that's where that advertiser wanted it. They pay us a small amount per year to have it there. I don't think they get anything out of it other than good placement in google for being affiliated with us (we have good google ranking).
