What if I said that you are likely to enslave someone because your ancestors owned slaves, or you were more likely to allow yourself to become a slave because your ancestors were slaves? Pretty crazy statement, isn't it?

And when my 3 X great-grandfather rode with the Texas Rangers out in Castroville and fought the Comanches in the 1840s-1850s, you would have had a harder sell on the merits of the noble Indians. You forget that people didn't live very long back then, because of disease or natural hazards or hostiles. I would wager the life expectancy for some settlers was lower than that of the Indians.
