I would have loved to have Oden on the Spurs even if he got injured in the first game. Low risk high reward imo. He'll probably go down again but you never know.

calling oden a potentially high reward is debatable, the guy hasn't played in 4 years, how do you expect anyone plays him 20min per game with a straight face? How can anyone expect him to hit +.300 fts? How can anyone expect him to guard anyone in transition? Here the upside is really really low.

what are you talking about, birdman is signed .. not to mention, the heat are probably the team having the hardest time to sign anybody, they have no cap space and only explayers like juwan have anything to gain from going there.

there're still many vets out there who wanna try their best to avoid retiring without rings, and I believe Miami is the most attractive destination to those s this days. So it doesn't hold much water to say they have the hardest time signing anyone, they have the easiest time probably (knowing most teams are over the salary cap) and they ain't at no risk of overpaying anyone.
