Serious response -- maybe there is a reason that you attract a certain kind of woman (drama queen) or that you end up attracted to this certain kind of woman. Same holds true for women who gripe that all men are assholes. Maybe there is a reason that she attracts assholes or is attracted to assholes. All women are not into drama and all men are not assholes.
but really dah women are fickle and a dime a dozen. these days they all have baggage that's just not worth it. hit it and quit it and focus on yourself.
the last thing you want to be is her live-in therapist who she dumps all of her emotional trauma on while she goes out and has fun with other dudes while you're stuck at home worrying about her. it's like everyone is getting a free meal while you pick up the tab.

It has been my experience that when men wind up with a woman who is as baggage and drama free as they claim to want, they don't trust it and/or they don't like it as much as they thought they would have.

I have stayed with the wife - 11-12 years. Trust - (or what this society calls trust) takes no effort at all when two people are true to themselves first - and then they act in these true ways - therefore forming a solid relationship.
I have noticed - because - every woman is wired to need drama - that every once in a while the wife gets a little bit full of herself. This happens when I am too attentive? - maybe too good to her -
whatever it is - I pull back, ignore her, get back to my world, whatever you want to label it - and in a day or so -she will check herself and go back to her sweet -drama free ways.
I don't ever remember giving her flowers or cards or remembering anniversaries or valentines day "obligated" acts of "romance" and she has never complained or asked my why. We both can look at a movie and watch as the actress and her friends "trip" over some guys supposed lack of romance and we both feel like we are watching something foreign - if that makes sense.
No drama, no maintenance at all - never - ever avoids or refuses sex (nor do I) - cooks, cleans, doesn't need to "get away" and "escape" -she is always happy ...always satisfied and is probably the smartest, most accomplished (in this society's sense of the word) and most together person I have had the privilege of knowing.
This "woman" behavior - only lasted through the honeymoon period with other women but it looks like after 11-12 years - she is for real. After the honeymoon period with most women - they start to look for to blame their man with and they start craving drama...
Why would any fool not trust her or not like her?

You are right. You have to realize that you are responding to a woman(have to make that assumption by the response) who doesn't have a clue as to what men like and want. A man who has the type of woman you have (beautiful, smart, drama free for the most part) keeps her. Those woman are out of the game for the most part and taken. Of course there are exceptions now and then but the numbers are against you if you wait too long to plant your stake and make your claim.
Society doesn't help either - if you just look at what is promoted - in movies, ads, tv shows, etc...
It is all about "keep the romance" "don't let your love grow stale" "keep your man/woman happy" "keep sex exciting" etc...
In a marriage - if one or both partners swallows this premise ^ you are going to be disappointed. I don't pretend nor does the wife pretend - that those "butterflies" are supposed to always happen...it is a long run thing...we lost the butterflies a long time ago - but some other things were gained.
The "excitement" might be gone - but other things took its place. When a woman in a relationship believes that she should be "romanced" and guys like Koolaid confirm this by tap-dancing and juggling for them in order to keep them satisfied - there will be trouble ahead.
