This thread also illustrates that there are far more "average" looking male celebrities than female.

There are also far more men in the music industry with sub-par voices than women (who are almost always expected to be attractive as well). The female equivalent of Bob Dylan wouldn't have been NEARLY as successful as Bob Dylan has been - and while I love Bob, he's no looker, and his voice is pretty bad. Women in the public sphere are held to higher standards for the most part than men.
You know, I never thought about that, but that is so true.
I find that women are really more into personality than men. Sorry, but from my experience its true. I am not the most ugly nor am I the most hot guy on this land, but I think that my personality has taken me a long way.
Mainly because those that run the marketing/advertising world are men. The big recording and movie studios are run by men. That's not to say that all the men with the power are shallow. They have simply done their homework on what sells and their target markets have delivered big money for them.

yea, I remember reading that they met here and their first date was a blind date to a Spurs game.And I had no idea whatsoever what he looked like before I decided that I already liked him.
