this is an early statement game for houston, dwight needs a big game. last year, dj and griffin clowned dwight in the post, i'm interested to see how he will fare against both this year.


as a basketball fan, im becoming a fan of houston quite honestly, howard isnt such a phony dude, id' root for them after the spurs. i like the fact that they play hard nose defense with great chemistry. houston is going deep this season.

i thought this was going to be a blow out win for us, but I'm not too sure anymore. Bev. will be needed this game, AB's defensive holes are going to glaring tonight as CP3 will have a feast. Also the rockets are continuing to experiment with the twin tower lineup. As long as they limit the time and don't keep them in too long we'll probably win. But who knows. I say Asik gets traded before the deadline though. This team is scary with a stretch 4, just look at when Caspi or garcia are in the game and they aren't even Pfs.

or see how well Scola and Yao complemented each other back in the day. The Rockets had always been searching a stretch 4 since they acquired the #1 draft flop in 02 imho, they had tried Maurice Taylor, Eddie Griffin, Juwan and Swift yet none of them cranked out any good results. It was the 6'5 Hayes who turned out to work best with the 7'6 piece of before the arrival of Scola, and Hayes didn't have no other ability on the floor but playing defense and grabbing rebounds back in the day.

I think a stretch 4 will always benefit enormously from playing alongside a dominant C. DH might be one or two steps lower than his best days in Orlando but he's still hands down the best center in the league, and while he was playing in orlando he even made a scrub like Ryan Anderson look decent and earned him a 10m-scale contract.
