To be fair hater, prior to the 2012-13 season Artest was talking 72+ wins, Lakerfans all over ST were spewing complete nonsense about another 3 peat, every analyst was picking the Lakers to face down the Heat in the finals, etc etc. Then a $120m payroll barely sneaks into the playoffs after a tumultuous season where the hatred between players was on full display, and we witness The Sweep where they weren't compe ive in a single game. The 2012-13 Laker season is the greatest failure in modern sports history.
And Kirby's achilles exploding was funny. Sorry. Not in the "zomg Kobe is hurt bad hahahaha" sense of funny, but in the sense that _'Antoni was running all of his players into the ground playing 40+ minutes every single night, including on b2b nights. Reporters and ST posters both were openly mocking his minute management leading to all of the injuries they were suffering, and predicting something really bad could happen as a result. And Kirby was already hurt like three times in the same game before his achilles went BOOM. So it was funny because it was so predictable.

When you have Howard shooting 9/13 FTs, double double including 33 points and 11 boards, and you still lose because y boy goose egged, you're pretty well ed. If they were in the East they could play their bench the rest of the season and coast into the playoffs however. Letting Dallas score 123 in regulation is embarrassing, especially getting your pushed in during the 4th quarter, the kind that bleeds over to other cities. I saw Duncan cover his face with a towel even up by 19 against Boston tonight. I think he felt it.
But Dallas with the come back, reminiscent of a 2011 Dallas squad that had a similar season.
