None of those guys would every play with Kobe, let alone Murderball Kobe tbh. The only one dumb enough to do so is going to be Melo and his media-hungry wife tbh.
Considering that "all of those guys" have played with Kobe in 2008 and 2012 Olympics, I'm curious. What is the irefutable evidence that clearly backs up the bolded in your post? A 2003 Shaq quote? Duwhite because he left LA?

Kobe is off the books after this year son. Now he needs to come back some time this year to prove that he is even worth another contract.

Tbh the Lakers are gonna end up being the 2011 Knicks. Miss out on every great free agent and sign a washed up player to a stupid contract. (in addition to the stupid contract they'll give Kobe)

throwing max money at Melo = Chess
Throwing anything over 8M a year to Bryant = Lunacy. But they'll pay him 100M. Just watch.

holy , i forgot how delusional you were tbh. Been 9+ years since Kirby ran off Shaq and the Lakers have yet to attract a marquee free agent. Guys like Dwight and Pau only coming to LA via trade. Kirby couldn't even recruit Raja F'n Bell. The only people that can successfully play with him are soft-ass dudes like Gasol and crackheads like Odom and Artest.

But now your magical plan for the Lakers is to lure LeBron, Wade, or Bosh from Miami to play with a broken down Bryant. Aaaaaaaaaand have Kirby take a 66% paycut so Lakerfan can watch him be a 2nd banana to LeBron? After a 17 years, you still don't know what type of guy Kirby is???

Your optimism is always adorable so i like you and all but your takes are still f'n re ed tbh

Eric Pincus - one of the mods at LG (his day job is columnist for the LA Times). We received confirmation of the contents of the article from another LG mod name Larry Coon (you may have seen his work on bspn.com). Coon is a noted salary cap specialist. The article is legit son.

    - keep thinking that . FAs have to be available, and the Lakers gotta have cap space to have the ability to sign them. Despite the bolded, 5>4 says the Lakers way works.

And why should I NOT be optimistic? Because we've had a few down years? Our track record shows we won't be down for long. After Shaq and Kobe split, how long did it take to reload with talent? Here we are again with a ton of cash to do it again starting this summer.

i used Miami's big 3 as an example of who we could sign. Didn't say it was definite. Not sure why you trolling that comment. But then again, you're a Laker hater, so I shouldn't be surprised.

The Spur window of opportunity is closing fast. I'd worry more about det than trying to clown my boys.

The Spurs window closes every season according to the so called "experts" so we don't worry about it

Bosh and Wade aren't likely to use their ETOs. They could use their options the following year, but it's highly doubtful that either would get a full max on the open market, so it doesn't make sense to give up two years of near-max money. If James leaves, however, they probably could be had in a trade, especially Bosh.

You've been saying that since, what, '97? What happens when Tammy retires? And to quote Mugen, what marquee FA will want to play in HEB Center, the place where you can get playoff court side seats for $3.99?

When Tammy retires, so will Pop. Like I said, your window of opportunity is closing fast. Neal with it.

Just a testament to how great Kobe truly is. He went back to back with a crack head and a soft ass dude like Gasol. Those are your words.
