Did you really just say Nene is better than Splitter?
If he didn't I will.
Fixed!Tiago Splitter is the Most Good Looking Center in the NBA
Bad take and trolling rolled into one, per par.
Lopez is much better offensively, from what I've seen, and from stats. I'm not sure about defensively though.
Lot of hate in this thread. Put me in the TRUTH category. If you look at both offense and defense, and distill this down to the game and impact alone (ignore media, etc.), it's very difficult to make a better argument over Splitter. Hibbert and Howard are the only candidates, all the other names in the thread are pretty laughable.
This is referring to 2013-14 performance, by the way.
C isn't his natural position and he doesn't even start over Splitter on the national team
That's because Nene almost never plays for brazilian national team. But I agree that Splitter is better right now especially due to the constants injuries of Nene.
After watching Splitter against the Wizards, I am a believer. (Not that he's the best center, but that he's better than Nene AND Gortat.)
Bogut, the other Lopez, Pekovic, the other Gasol, Gortat. They're all better than Splitter. I wouldn't say Nene's better than Splitter.
Incorrect.
People just hate Splitter because he's not a 300-lb. gorilla with bulging muscles, tbh. You can be a good center without looking like an animal, tbh.
Splitter sucks. Where was he in the finals?
Slamming your wife.
Has no take so insults people, per par.
English, motherfker, do you speak it?
I didn't realize Nene was having such a good start but Splitter has been, at the very least, playing at as good or better level. When comparing them using advanced stats

Throw in that Splitter is couple of years younger, much less injury prone. & drastically cheaper (granted that's irrelevant). Nene has 11 seasons to Splitters 4 but their career number using the aforementioned stats are very similar. With the constant that Splitter is a drastically better team defender and rebounder.
Nene two years is better then Splitter but right now I would rather have Splitter on my team. All I can say is that this year Splitter is playing with a passion and playing much better since he is getting more minutes so as a Spurs fan - BE ING HAPPY WITH THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah he totally sucks, just ignore he was a big reason (along with Duncans resurgence) why our defense skyrocketed from 11th to 3rd last season. We wouldn't have even made the finals without him. Of the 8 teams that made the semi's all of them were in the top 8 and of the 4 in the conference finals; Memphis-2nd, Indiana-1st, Miami-7th, San Antonio-3rd.
Miami was a bad matchup. He did have success against GSW & Memphis.
