In retrospect, it doesn't look wise to bring in an expensive, washed-up core to be "coached" by a totally unprepared neophyte. With those key guys you mentioned looking done, it's not like Pop or Carlisle or Tibbs could do much better.Are the Nyets really Kidd's fault tho? Billy King is a notoriously ty GM, and he just grabbed a roster of big names with no regard for current ability or chemistry. Pierce, KG, and Jet clearly look washed up (not Kidd's fault), Joe Johnson was declining pretty rapidly starting last season (not Kidd's fault), D-Will was an unmotivated fatass for most of last year too (not Kidd's fault), Lopez and Kirilenko are predictably hurt all the time (not Kidd's fault), and the rest of their bench is basically dog too. The best player on that team is arguably Andray Blatche (). If anyone gets fired over this mess it should be King.
Findog speaks the truth per par. I believe Kidd would've also done a great job coaching a young team like MJ did in Golden State, but Brooklyn just doesn't look like the right team for him when the squad is filled up with washed-up big names and bad boys.
it's almost as if hiring a guy with 0 head coaching experience, or really any coaching experience at all, is a ing stupid ass idea or something.
although at least they didn't do the normal "I know this guy has failed at every stop but let's get him anyway" recycled garbage coach hire like NBA teams love to do.
