Even for him, he's been bizarre this season. Diaw is often inexplicably playing 12-18 minute stretches, on a team where no one else plays more than 9-10 generally. Splitter can apparently never play more than 5-7 minutes at a time and no more than early 20's period, Ginobili can't go more than 8-9 and late 20's period (even though he's their most consistent scorer at the moment) and on top of that, he's subbing with more frequency than ever before, which is saying something given his history. Guys are in and out so quickly a lot of the time that they don't have any chance to establish a rhythm, both individually and with others.

This madness needs to stop. It's clear they need to make a trade, but in the interim, Diaw needs to start, Bonner needs to be the fourth big and in general, Pop needs to use his brain.
I agree. I don't know what he is trying to experiment with, but the rotations have been awful, and the number of games he's given up this year is higher than in previous years. You can agree or disagree with his decisions, but this is the first time I cannot even figure out what the he is doing. There is usually a method to his madness, but this year it has been bizarre. The sad part is that he is currently irreplaceable, so we'll have to get accustomed to the madness!

Well is time for the annual ass chewing, the one that we all know from Pop,the "this team plays the worst defence I have ever seen and is too soft" speech

its pretty sad since they looked awful against some teams I considered inferior to us like Clippers (considerED)

makes me wonder if we'll get swept in playoffs or is it just some shady scheme of Pop making us look lazy/bad on purpose

Didn't show that "furious" mentality during the game. I saw zero effort from the Starters. Rockets' starters had 98 points, compared to the Spurs' 48.

Apparently any critical word said about this team is automatically a "meltdown", unless of course it comes from one of a select few, then it's the gospel.

    By this time last season:

The Spurs were 1-1 against OKC.
Spurs had beaten Portland IN PORTLAND on the back end of a back-to-back. Neal went off with 27 points that game.
The Spurs team showed confidence against the Miami game - AKA Popgate and the 250K scandal.
    Spurs were 2-0 against Indiana.
    Spurs beat Houston by 22.

    This Season:
    0-2 against OKC
0-2 against Houston (both losses at Home)
Lost in Portland by double digits.
Lost to Indiana at home by double digits.
    6-7 to +.500 teams.
    0-6 against elite playoff teams.

And LOL at closing threads criticizing the Spurs' totally pathetic play. Homers can't face the facts. It's the not the fans that are melting down, it's the Spurs.

Portland, Indiana, and Houston were nowhere near as good as they are this year. Come on now.

Spurs had always had trouble playing in Portland. The team last season won and it was the back end of a back to back. Indiana still had loads of potential last season, and it was still tough to beat them at the Fieldhouse up in Indianapolis. I'll agree with Houston, but they still had Harden going off last season, alongside Parsons.

    tbh...

Lazy transition D and lots of lazy reaching in the halfcourt.

Timmy looked slow and his shot was flat, and Tony clearly had too much egg nog...

The Spurs then lost the next two games against Portland in embarrassing fashion. The Portland win last November was nice, but Portland was awful last year. They had the worst bench in the league.

The Spurs didn't lose to Indiana since 2008 before this year's game and Paul George wasn't nearly the player he is now.

Spurs and Rockets always split regular games even when the Spurs are the better team.

I wonder if the spurstalk elitists would say the same to Timmy as they do here when posters point out the same thing.

Timmy just cliff jumping I guess

im no cliff diver by any means................
but we really have sucked lately, we look old and slow. Were getting blown out by the good teams that well have to face eventully in the PO's.
Hopefully this is just a slump or something cuz we wont make it out the second round with the way we look..
Our Defense is mediocre and we have dudes on this team that are middle school level on offense, ( Green, Splitter, Errors, Bon Bons, etc.. )
Hope we can snap out of this.
