Lol pop.
Lol overrated.
i thought this as well, only to remember a lot of laker fans are bandwagoners and already rooting for Lebron, like Thread et al....
To this day I haven't seen a replay of the last 28 seconds.
What pisses me off the most is that they ALLOWED the Heat to shoot so many open 3's in the end.
Isn't the rule you allow the losing to get the easy two, but NEVER give up the easy 3? LeBron had nobody around him for miles.
Spurs failing to ring this year will only make the 2013 mishap feel worse and worse.
Then again after the 2012 debacle, I never thought the Spurs would get that close again for some time.
I still haven't seen it either since it happened, maybe one day.![]()
When Parker scores that shot over Chalmers you can just feel that the Spurs are gonna take that . I remember the feeling when it happened. Then we get a turnover, free throws...up 5... , why man, why?...
I was in Corpus working and my dad got called in, told me to call him only if we won. He answered when Ray Allen hit that 3. FML
I was at home...drunk as but so keen of the situation. Indescribable feeling leading up to 28 seconds...when it went OT, it dawned to me that we weren't gonna pull it off. After the game everything felt like a bad breakup. I remember falling asleep right after not even wanting to watch ESPN or TV for that matter...then waking up at 6 am. It was such a brutal loss to take in as a fan that I still had that pain in my chest.
This is absolutely true. I'd take the ring, but the 2nd best thing is Lakers fans who wanted it worse than we did because they want to shield their pseudo-GOAT from the inevitable "James > Jordan" conversation where Kobe is left out. They didn't give a that it was the Spurs. , the whole of LG.com was rooting for SA.
parker's 3 over bron tied it, the shot over chalmers put us up 2. after the turnover manu hit 2 free throws to put us up 4. they lost it again, and then manu made 1-2 to get us up 5. then 6 ensued
I never felt that way. I would have been shocked if the Spurs held on. I saw it at the beginning of the 4th when Manu was being the ball boy for the Heat. I knew when I saw Pop's subs utions like it was a regular season game. I had no doubt, none.
Expound on that, TE, if you'd be so gracious. Seriously, I won't break your ass, or, bust your balls. I just like to hear about those moments.
Fukin suxs man, tbh. I know no one deserves anything in life but I really thought Tim deserved that 5th ring. Fukin team with Birdman gets a ring? Bull .
The game was really lost when Pop put the bench in with a 10 point lead at the start of the 4th, play your fukin starters, man. Wtf was he saving them for? Game 7? Pop ed up big time, tbh.

Easily visualized.
Danka.
nvm, spurs did have a 10 point lead heading to the 4th
Birdman put in some work. Tim had his chances, that's all anyone can ask for. If you told the Spurs they'd have 5 minutes 0-0 against the defending champs to win the ring, they'd take it 100 times out of 100.
At 6am.. lol Dale you're rollin right along.
^^^You fellows are finally emerging from your mass state of shock and are confronting your feelings, acknowledging what had happened and putting it into "words." I'm not a psychologist, but, I'll bet this is normal behavior for what transpired then. 6 months is probably a watershed time line. I won't kick ya's.
you will, but that's ok. I'll take it over what happened to yall. As much as fans will say otherwise, I'd take that close loss over that 40pt blowout you guys got, or that sweep you had last year. When an old small market team can scare the out of the corporate giant preassembled juggernauts, and sweep the league sweethearts, I'm content.
And the kicker? Switch the losing a ring with a winning a ring and I'd be feeling basically the same as TE described: chest pains, bouts of sleeping & sleeplessness, indescribable feelings, at home, yer right= the 6am self torturing session of thinking "what would have happened if I'd lost."
Well, of course I'll kick ya's...just at another juncture, another day. It's nice seeing you fellows expose yourselves this way. I would never take advantage in such a situation.
I don't know why... 4>0 and forever imo
I've not said anything new. I've maintained this claim throughout.
Christ, yer a hard ass.
