No Parker or Diaw at practice today. Statement should be coming "soon" per Spurs PR.

Sorry for any confusion re: Parker, Diaw. They practiced, but were not made available to media.

And impending statement was in regards to the quenelle furor.
That first tweet![]()
“While this gesture has been part of French culture for many years, it was not until recently that I learned of the very negative concerns associated with it. When l was photographed making that gesture three years ago, I thought it was part of a comedy act and did not know that it could be in any way offensive or harmful.
“Since I have been made aware of the seriousness of this gesture, I will certainly never repeat the gesture and sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding or harm relating to my actions. Hopefully this incident will serve to educate others that we need to be more aware that things that may seem innocuous can actually have a history of hate and hurt.”

Never heard about the Ultras all over the Europe? If it was in Italy, Spain, Germany, Poland, Holland or Russia, nobody gave a about it and the supporters should loved it. See Di Canio, idol of the Lazio.

Isn't pop a liberal I don't think he will take kindly to this
Damn everyone getting scared less of the US Zionist lobby, that is hilarious. Can you say anything without getting fined in the US?
Evan Fournier also said that his GM talked to him about it:.
As usual, people getting worked up about nothing after the media tries to sell a story.
The problem with America is that it is ultra sensative. everyone is looking to get offended.
77% of French people not offended :

But hey doesn't matter, the lobby is so powerful that it doesn't matter.
Valls the main minister going after Dieudonné has talked about the Roma from Romania a few weeks earlier saying they were not fit to live in France, the Roma were victimized by Hitler as well but the difference they don't have any lobby backing them so you can treat them like ...
The whole thing is turning people is France into anti Zionists... We're sick of this , about lobbies telling us what to think and dictating what's PC or not.

Parker released a statement. Think it was the right thing to do.
it's on drudgereport, i was there and then then decided to come here, get the ST reaction.
this is definitely media bs, but now I hope Stern and Silver don't shekelstein us for Parker's gesture. It's good he apologized, but I don't want Parker screwing over the team's chances because of his mistakes and ego, not that it's ever happened before or anything....
To me, the true issue is that Parker is posing alongside Dieudonné. I can buy that he didn't know the meaning of the gesture (which isn't for sure racist or antisemitic) but he is doing a picture alongside a well known anti-semite with extremist ideas. Parker surely knows his political stance and, if he isn't antisemitic, he shouldn't have made that picture.
I dislike that picture when I saw it months ago and it's still the case.
TP can take all the shots he wants, I got no problem with that.
Best PG in the league now IMO.
Truth bomb...
Change the thread le already please.
It's well known sportsmen are ing re they dont know on anything and pose with ty people like this Dieudonné...
By the way TP leaves us in 2015 I hope he goes to the ty knicks
You mad?![]()
This is so totally overblown. People in here who hate Parker are going to use this as a statement about who he is.
Does anyone in here remember the president of the United States giving a "hook 'em horns' sign in Europe and people going nuts because in that culture it's meaning is effectively "F*** You"? Bush 43 did it and had no idea that it meant something else.
Things like this happen. Move along. Nothing to see here.
What ? are youa dieudonne fan you bas ?
