2008 should have been Texas vs Florida, and Texas would have won, our defense was much better than Oklahoma's and no way they stop Shipley or Quan.
neither Ohio State team was very good the years they went, both were a shadow of the 2005 OSU team.
2005 had 3 teams that would wipe the floor any of the SEC champions over the last 6 years. 2002 Miami would wipe the floor with everyone as wood 2001 Miami.
Don't kid yourself, all the teams you mentioned were on the down side of for these programs.

You can take an all SEC team and they would get curb stomped by 2005 Texas. Besides having the best college player this century, they also had 28 future NFL draft picks
Texas will again have the state of Texas on lock down just like in the past, no SEC team can compete with Texas or USC when they are on top of their game. You see SEC might have great athletes but they are also a bunch of dumb SOB that if it wasn't for football they would be ditch diggers. Not saying all Texas guys are smart but for the most part most Texas athletes are graduating from Texas in real degrees not just basket weaving like sec athletes are.

Seriously, any Ohio State fan will tell you that their best team over the last 15 years was 2005, that defense was lights out one of the best all time. Oklahoma has gone to 3 national les they didn't deserve to be in and you know it. And no I'm not upset about Texas we are about to start a new era with a brand new coach. Texas has it's own network and is able to buy pretty much what they want. it's just a matter of time before they are again on top of college football world.

Alabama beat a better Florida right before they beat Texas.
Florida's defense was elite enough to slow down Texas's offense and Florida's offense would score on anyone. They would have beaten Texas.
LOL at 2005 USC's defense and Ohio State overall. That USC team lucked out in wins against Notre Dame and Fresno State. Not nearly as good as the 2004 USC team. Not even close since that team had a way better defense. That Ohio State team wasn't any better than the Bama teams or 2008 Florida.
2002 Miami wasn't nearly as good as 2001 Miami. Not even close. That's why they struggled against Ohio State who weren't that dominant throughout the season. 2001 Miami was a special team, but not 2002 Miami.
