I agree. He already earned his rate this year with previous years like last one ... but to have ANY shot at justifying that extension he needs to get as close to 100% healthy as possible.

He was over shaq to me both Kobe and Tim have a strong case over O'neal for POTD in 2000-2010.
Shaq was clearly more dominant than either guy but they did not end the decade in 2003 or even 2006. Duncan made 2 more finals after shaq won his last. Kobe won 2 more with 3 Finals appearances.
At his best it's shaq but at his best did not last much longer than 2006 ...

Shaq was clearly more dominant than either guy but they did not end the decade in 2003 or even 2006. Duncan made 2 more finals after shaq won his last. Kobe won 2 more with 3 Finals appearances.

from 08-10 tim only lives for the playoffs, i guess the blame could be put on the management for giving the keys to enrique...

those years i felt that duncan could still post up solid numbers, not anything below 20/10 imo....he clearly exposed the hero in the playoffs he still had it...

duncan either has adopted shaqs approach, coast in the RS and peak in the playoffs...too bad that doesnt go in synch with the hero who expects to be the one in every possession...

03/04 meltdown hurts kobe alot, just like the next couple of season where pau wasnt part of the lakers yet, but i dunno how he gets a free pass for that....that was basically a 1 man t eam chucking to career highs that didnt amount to anything, had he won mvp or playoffs series then we can talk about it...its like a wasted effort..
