The dude is healthier than most of us combined minus the AIDS.
Must be tripling his daily tail tbh. Only explanation..
Magic killed Jerry. There's no denying it now.![]()

you know the virus originally came from some African forest, or Asian forest where a white hunter or adventurer got bitten by a HIV-positive monkey, and the white man got infected and carried the virus to the civilized world. AIDS is just a common disease among those monkeys (just like common cold to humans) and it never kills. Someone's poison might just be another's flavor, imho.
^true, Rogue, but in the Western world Patient Zero was a French-Canadian airline steward. Most likely a Habs fan, lefty
This is without a doubt one of they gayest pictures ive seen.
Det dude does look like pre-Hollywood Hills John Holmes...Magic likes the Mike!
Magic's son transcends gay. I honestly don't believe he exists, just for the simple fact that nobody could be that big of a flamer without playing a character
Jesus Christ, I'd off myself if my son turned out like Magic's...
Apparently dispelled as a myth... first confirmed case of HIV death in America was Robert Rayford, at a much earlier time...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Rayford
Not really dispelled, since his death hasn't been linked to any other related deaths. Dugas is the perfect candidate for Patient Zero b/c the majority of the first cases came from people who had sex with him or partners he had sex with. As a cluster study, he more accurately fits "Patient Zero"
It was much more difficult back in the 60s to track that, because they didn't know about the disease.
He got his ass infected from somebody else though, and it was definitely AIDS, so the virus has been around prior to him, even if not as widespread.
That Dugas was another tho, no doubt.
Dude, trust me on anything AIDS-related (no ). I've met the guy who did the cluster study (Dr. Bill Darrow, professor at FIU now). Also, for Continuing education classes for Medics, EMTs, RNs and such I teach a one hour HIV class. I also do Blood-borne pathogens, CPR, ACLS, PALS, Flight Physiology, and Cultural Diversity(I you not).
Even though things were harder to track back then, they still would've bee able to link his symptoms to other people since they are always do ented. To the best of my knowledge Rayford's death has no other connections with people who were known to have Kaposi's Sarcoma, Pneumocystis Pneumonia, or Toxoplasmosis.
Meanwhile, in the late 70's/early 80's, Gaetan Dugas frequented bath houses in SF, LA, and NY where the first outbreaks occurred in the U.S. Sure, he wasn't the first infected, but I have no doubt he is the most accurate description of a Patient Zero/Typhoid Mary that you can get
I didn't know you did that. That's cool. My wife is an RN (I sometimes help with her CE, which is where I remember reading some of this stuff).
Anyways, Dr Darrow did the early research back when he was working at the CDC, but his work has been largely superseded by Gilbert, Rambaut et all (namely this paper http://www.pnas.org/content/104/47/18566.abstract - related article here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/7068574.stm) which traces back the US "patient zero" to a single patient from Haiti in the late 60's, early 70's.
But, IMO, you're right as far as mass infection. Once that hit the major cities, it was over, and Dugas fit the bill.
Dugas had traveled to Haiti, and that hole was once a gay retreatcountry for some (kinda like Fire Island in New York). True story.
I've also met the doctor who treated the first Haitians infected in Miami back in the early 80's. Dr. Margaret Fischl, she heads up the AIDS/HIV research center of UM Hospital still, I think.
Still, fascinating stuff--part of me (as a person in the medical field) wishes I was born 10-15 years earlier so I could've been there when the outbreaks occurred. Must've been scary as .
My sister is a molecular biologist, and you can tell there's some fascination with the biology of that virus. Just some weird out of the left field.
Howard will get an STD from some 5th Ward hoe. It's imminent. He should be tested for AIDs tbh.
er would have kicked the bucket if obamacare was intact 25 years ago
