Im armenian so I try to spin that as middle eastern when appropriateyour armenian skin ain't yellow enough to earn you an easy access to the top-flight colleges (like how it worked for Rin). but you're right, a bird in hand is worth two in the bush. Just get accepted somewhere so you'd have a cushion to fall back upon even if you fail to get admitted into the ones you desire to go to, rather than waste 1-2 years of time outside school like I did
ucla is a top flight college imo. well not in the harvard-yale-stanford tier but its top notch. most applied to school in the US. now which law school i get into is a different questionsounds so sad
I have no idea which Law school is better but speaking of the universities in general, going from UCLA to Berkeley is just a "lateral move" at its finest. I also tried to apply for the best uni in our country, I did it twice before and after graduation from undergraduate school but failed both times, then I decided to apply for a local school the 3rd year and got admitted right away
it's always a pleasure to continue your study in the same college because it gives you such a feeling of home court advantage imho. For example, you know where every place & facility is, the library, the lab, canteen etc... The college I'm studying in isn't exactly my undergraduate alma mater, but it's kinda the same college because there's only a fence between the two imho.
Edit: my bad, the existence of FkLA in this thread and the fact that you're a spurs fan somehow misled me into thinking your were also from UTSA, never mind
UCLA is one of the best schools in the US indeed, though it has a yellow majority.

a local college about the same level as UTSA on the global scale (which's decent enough considering that I'm from a 3rd world country, tbh)
$200K in student loans is no joke. A friend I know owes about that much and she went to a third tier law school. Hope you land at a great law firm though.
200k for college study is just too crazy imho. As far as I know, even an international student doesn't have to spend that much on tuition throughout 4yrs undergraduate study and even 2-3 years graduate study tbh. You may as well ask my djohn (@djohn2oo8) how to get through it financially.

Thanks Gemini ... I've been a member of the ST community for half a decade now and I feel I've learned more here than all I've learned from schools over the past 20 something years of my life, thanks to you all tbh.
honorable mention: djohn2oo8, dude seems to have adapted much faster and easier tbh. I remember he wasn't much different than the rest Lockets fans when he first joined spurstalk, but he quickly established himself as one of the best posters on ST and one of the only two Lockets fans who're worth our respect (the other being sook, trolls like Jigsaw not counted). And the creation of that MJ troll marked the pinnacle of djohn's trolling career imho, or just his graduation from the ST trolling academy? yes, djohn lives in the US which must have helped that course, but there're immigrants who may remain dumbasses when they've lived in the US/Canada/Australia for years, or even decades... (examples such as lefty, TDMV , and most immigrants not named djohn)
