Should be Cousins but will be Davis based on host city. Cousins is 6th in PER.
Anthony Davis

This tbh
Yeah Cousins & Davis should've made it over Dirk
Anthony Davis has been the best big man in the league this season..
Cousins is the biggest team cancer in the league... don't know why people think coaches would've voted the er in
I don't disagree with any of this, but I think he has been better than Parker this year..Tony is also coasting hard, tbh..
Doesn't matter either way, I would rather not have any Spurs in the pointless game, tbh..
Nah, JR Smith is the biggest cancer in the league
what the , Joe Johnson made it?!?!..
I concur. Lowry has probably been the best PG in the East this season.
I knew Duncan, Davis, Cousins, Dragic, Conley, Lawson and Lowry, wouldn't make it and I knew DeRozan and Johnson would. It's all about politics.
Duncan - Inexplicably not nearly as respected as he should be. Whatever respect the Spurs have received in recent years is generally attributed to, in order: Pop, the system, the front office and Parker. The Spurs should have known this and privately campaigned for Duncan and Pop should have a slew of scathing public comments.
Davis - Not yet an established All-Star and on a team with a losing record. This has always been a death knell, unless you're Love, then you get a free pass. Wonder why . . .
Cousins - In addition to not being an established All-Star and on a team with a terrible record, has a well deserved terrible reputation. The first two are damaging enough, but there's nothing worse than the latter.
Dragic, Conley, Lawson - Flat out not considered All-Star type names, all on fringe playoff teams and up until maybe recently, it was difficult to definitively pick one.
Lowry - Doesn't have a great reputation, but when you consider the fact that he's been the best guard in the East and the much tougher compe ion in the West, he's by far the biggest snub. The fact that DeRozan and especially Johnson, made it over him, is beyond comprehension.
DeRozan - Despite not being a favorite of the stat geeks, good reputation and in many ways, fits the cliche profile of an All-Star.
Johnson - Considering all their big names, they clearly felt obligated to pick a Net and with Lopez out and Williams not having played enough, he was the only one they thought they could justify picking.
If the Spurs only get one all-star, then it should be Tim. However, we all know that it's a league all about marketing, so naming Dirk (Germany) and TP (France) is a bottom line move. And Stern/Silver will make the bottom line move EVERY time.
But that might be bad news for Raptors' opponents
Lowry was already playing with a chip on his shoulder, now he will be mega motivated
NBA = ed![]()
Lowry will be in imo. Wade probably sits
Great points on the Duncan snub. Further proof that Tim is the most under-appreciated great player in history.
And unfortunately for Dragic, he's not from a marketing-sexy country. From the NBA's global perspective, Slovenia ain't China.
I hate that Unibrow didn't make it and he definitely is an All-Star player, but I can understand how he didn't make it.
Lowry was the biggest snub. Awful decisions by the coaches. Seriously this is disturbing that NBA coaches are this dumb. How could he not make it?
Did they announce who's going for the injured picks?
Possible. Afflalo's been having a career year too.
Dragic and Lowry not making it is just flat out BS...
So many dumb coaches in the NBA today...It's sad.
maybe they were afraid Timmy would practice this in the all-star game, tbh.
