You understand the modern day NFL is geared towards Offense, specifically passing. Guys in the modern day put up Madden statistics that were comical to think about in the 90's. Why do you think what Marino and Montana did was so special in their day??? They put up big stats when teams could still play Defense. Everything that gets done now has to be looked at through a microscope. It just isn't that impressive anymore. A couple years ago weren't there like 5 or 6 QB's to throw for 4,000+ yards and 3 to throw for 5,000+ it just isn't impressive anymore. It's the norm. Completion % is sky high, touchdown passes, check it all off. Everyone makes it look easy now. This is the NFL.
