But you want to spend free agent money on Daniels?
Big difference between using a first-rounder on a backup TE and signing one who's been cut (in this scenario) and who has familiarity with the system. It's not like Daniels would get big money, and he wouldn't count against comp picks.

^Yeah, that pretty much cements the Flacco deal won't hurt the Ravens like the detractors had hoped for.

^the seahawks also look a lot scarier with that, and won't lose as many pieces as the detractors would have hoped

if only Al Davis was around so we could use this cap room to make some Tommy Kelly, Deangelo Hall, and Javon Walker esque signings

I hated playing with the Raiders in NFL Head Coach 09. It took years to get rid of all those contracts, and I ended up having to start Andrew Walter for a few years. And that was before the Seymour trade.

Sure. But Andrew Walter. I don't even know who that guy is outside the context of that game. He was randomly rated 86 overall. I thought he was their QB of the future for a while there.

He was a beast in college, left with a bunch of Pac-10 records at the time. I just read up on him, apparently after he retired at 27 he went back to school, got an MBA, and is going to be running for the House of Representatives for Arizona in 2014

Interestingly enough, I have attended a Raiders win where Andrew Walter started at QB. It was in 2006 season against the defending superbowl champ steelers. granted we had less than 100 yards of offense, but 4 interceptions, 2 for TD's and we won.
