this is what I've realized as well. Pop puts so many players in positions to succeed that would be considered scrubs elsewhere, or would get grinded down elsewhere, but then sometimes he just overdoes it. Spurs have too many damn heartbreaks and Pop is part of those ups, but then we've also surpassed what small market teams were supposed to be capable of, especially in the previous CBA era.

It was Pop's mistake. No way Fisher could shot over Hedo or Bowen, they should have been on the floor instead of Manu and Devin. That being said, I had the impression Phil figured out how to win that series, it took a circus shot by Duncan to put the Spurs in position to win the game at home, they would have lost games 6 and 7 anyway. The Lakers were better, tbh.
