Parker does have the highest defensive rating out of all of our guards (now that De Colo's gone). No surprise really. He's never been a defender.
Parker's defensive rating is truly bad. I didn't even realize the Spurs had 17 players on the roster.

It's going to be something to watch once Parker returns. His defense has been really bad this season. How much of that can be attributed to injuries and simply coasting remains to be seen. Either way, he has to get back to being at least an average defender for his position.
One other thing. Tony has been bad defensively this season and the eye test matches his defensive rating.
Defensive rating, however, can be misleading. It's an estimate based on box score stats which gives great weight to blocks, steals, and defensive rebounds. Bruce Bowen was frequently found near the bottom of team defensive ratings during the years that he was regarded as an elite defender.
That's a ty stat
Parker defense is behind four former Spurs: Thomas, De Colo, Brown and Jeffers.
Mills is a really.good rebounder for a PG. So his defensive rating is higher because of that. It's also why Leonard's is so high, but people have a hard time believing that.
Mills is 9th in D Rating. Its a 3 way tie with Baynes and Bonner but Mills has played more minutes than both.
thats misleading. Only Brown has exceeded 100 minutes. The more minutes, the more accurate the stat becomes have played. Its still very bad but when looking at those who have played more than 300 minutes, he is 13th.
I don't like him playing so tight and agressive, I'd like to see him give a little more cushion.
