US will not go to war with Russia simply because Russia has nukes. The US has thousands of Nukes and so does Russia. If both countries went to war it would be the end of the world due to nuclear holocaust. This is why the US will not do anything because they can't. Its the same reason why the US doesn't go into North Korea because the risks of them firing a nuke at the US is too high.
