Hollinger's Playoff Predictor says 7-3 is the best bet. I think OK does better than they project. This seems to predict that the clips get to the wcf...

    Western Conference
    ACTUAL PROJECTED ODDS (%)
    TEAM W L
    San Antonio 56 16
    Oklahoma City 53 19

    Projected
    Spurs 63-19
    OK 59-23

    odds of champs:
    spurs 31.9
    ok 6.5

As long as okc doesn't run the table, 7-3 sounds good
remember last year's Lakers, where they had a ridiculous FT advantage so they could make the playoffs. I'm hoping OKC doesn't get that, they already receive more of a hookup than anyone else. I gotta hope Silver isn't as obnoxious as Stern.

I don't think there's any way for anybody - including Silver - to be as obnoxious as Stern. How that guy's not in jail is beyond me. Among a million other transgressions, he makes a referee/point shaving scandal go away by crucifying one ref...and gets the entire league to buy into it. Who odes he think he's kidding? We all saw the 2002 LAkers/Kings series. We all saw the Fisher shot, which was allowed to count...then the rule was changed the following season. We all saw him hand-deliver Gasol to the Lakers for Kwame Brown, making an irrelevant Laker team instantly relevant. And as a final send-off, he nixes a Chris Paul trade to the Lakers (the ball dominating CP3 never would have fit with the ball dominating K. Bryant), and instead gets them Dwight Howard AND Steve Nash. Unfortunately for Stern, K. Bryant ran Howard out of town.

So we'll see what Silver cooks up for the Lakers. He'll probably get them Kevin Love, but we all know the Lakers are too far gone after signing Bryant to that ridiculous, franchise-killing deal.

Anthony Davis might be out for tomorrow night's game. He hurt his shoulder tonight.

7-3 imo. They lose @MethKC, @Dal, and drop a game at home to someone, prolly Memphis. If Davis plays tomorrow night and the Spurs sit everyone that'll be the home loss.

As long as Pop doesn't give games away by resting half the team, we should go 9-1 or 10-0......however, knowing Pop, he will rest 2-3 key players every other game, and we will still find a way to go 7-3.....thanks to our quality depth.

One positive, Daye, Baynes, and Joseph should be getting plenty of playing time for the remainder of the regular season, which can only help if they are called upon to participate in post season activities.

Don't sleep on Memphis, Dallas or Phoenix... they're playing for their playoffs lives, and they'll bring it. Hate playing teams like that at this point in the season... but c'est la vie...
Now, they are. They may not be in 2 or 2 1/2 weeks.

I predict that they will attempt to make history and will try to win out the reg. season. Pop will rest who is going to rest but it seems that everyone on the team, 2nd & 3rd stringers included, are playing with a purpose. Not sure what that can be but one could easily assume that if Timmy privately announced to his teammates this would be his last season, they would want him to go out on top in the regular season as well as the postseason.

I am sure they will try to win every game. But that does not mean we burn our starters every game from here on out at their regular season averages of minutes or above, regardless of whether OKC can catch us.

For OKC to catch us, we have to go 6-3 or worse, and OKC has to play near perfect.

If and when OKC can't catch them for 1st, the Spurs top 5-7 rotation players will not hit the floor for more than 15 minutes a game until the playoffs start.

You can't get hurt if you don't play, and the probability of getting hurt is obviously related to the amount of time you play, so why take chances?

Now, during the playoffs, will the rotation shorten? Yes. Will the Spurs play tim, manu, and tony more minutes than their season averages? Definitely (unless Tony continues to suck, which I hope is not the case).

10-0 than we sweep the first two rounds to break the 33 game win streak set by the Lakers
Then we sweep through the playoffs and win our first 47 games of the 2014-2015 season to break UCLA's record!!!
