Should have resigned TMac
Wow he hits a lot of threes. I looked at his stats (eventhough it's small sample size) from his rookie year, he never hits a three and only attempted like less than 5 to 7? He looks good now, well it's D-League but still nice to see he's playing well on that league coming from an injury. Did he had the same injury with James Anderson?
If you played in the NBA this season, you must be released by 1 March. You can be signed any time after that. If you haven't played in the league this year, there are no applicable dates at all. That's how we signed TMac last year and now James.
So is this signing official yet?
Not listed as either active or inactive for tonight, so probably not officially signed yet
Looks like we got a Malik rose starter kit
no n he wont be replaced next yr by austin fukin daye or a 10 day player tbh![]()

Any updates if the Spurs will sign him for the remainder of this season? How was he? Or will the Spurs sign somebody?
It'll be dirt cheap to sign him, or someone, for the remainder of the season at minimum. We'll want someone to eat minutes in the last two games. Whoever, plus Daye, could easily play 25 minutes each over the next two games.

The San Antonio Spurs have signed forward Damion James for the remainder of the 2013-14 season.
Cheers Ace, thanks for that.
hopefully, he plays 96 minutes these next two games tbh.
James looks taller than he's listed. He seems to be more 6-8/6-9 than 6-7. Either way, it's good that he's on the team. Daye is probably going to be playing exclusively a four these next two games. Both the Lakers and Rockets play small. Having James means Pop can also rest Green or Leonard in addition to the Big Three.
I can't believe we signed him through the season (which includes the playoffs) today. I thought it was a questionable 10-day to begin with, as he can't shoot a lick and doesn't possess any sort of unique skill set that he can bring to the table.
Also, I was very disappointed with his lack of effort he showed in the 5 minutes and 32 seconds he played in the 4th quarter vs OKC. He looked like he didn't want to be out there, and fittingly didn't record a single stat to show for it. And look, I'm a Texas Longhorns fan, and I like Damion James--but I don't think he fits in with the Spurs. There's a reason he was drafted 18 overall and was quickly a bust. He doesn't belong in the NBA and he shouldn't be on this great team. I guess Pop thinks his raw athleticism is good to practice against for the guys, but otherwise, keeping him is just nonsensical. Unless of course...they just want him to eat up minutes in these last 2 regular season games...but if you ask me, that's just a waste of money. But...I guess if it saves Manu or one of the guys from injury...maybe it'll be worth it in the end.

He's a practice dummy and garbage minutes player. You shouldn't expect a whole lot from your 15th roster spot.
it's a good prospect to look at at least. didn't show much at okc but you don't need a lot from the 15th spot and perhaps he could develop over time into a worthwhile player. you never know who's gonna bust out at summer or training camps.
He's an upgrade over T-Mac, tbh
Can he play defense? Is he at least a decent defender?
If he can play defense, then I am OK with it, if not, then I agree, I have no idea why they would have signed him for the rest of the season, especially if his offensive game is lacking.
I don't understand why anyone would object to this. Since they're nowhere near the tax, the money is irrelevant, so why wouldn't they spend what amounts to virtually nil for a professional sports franchise to add depth at the one spot they desperately need it at? Besides, physically he's exactly what they need in a depth SF anyway.
I only watched 10 mins or so of tonight's game, how did he look?..
Not TOO bad. He was aggressive and didn't hesitate any shots. Shot a couple midrange J's and baseline 3's. He was in the game when we made the run.. 6 points and 10 boards in 27 mins or something
